Episode 0: Meet Cute
It’s not uncommon for kids to “play school.” Who doesn’t, at some point in their early childhood, say they want to be a teacher? Despite the popularity of the profession amongst the under 10 set, not every aspiring teacher is sure they feel called to the profession.
In this not-quite-worthy-of-an-episode episode, we explain how we landed on becoming high school English teachers and how we met and began collaborating. You’ll learn which one of us hired the other, who is responsible for encouraging us to work together, who is the ” gung ho [born] teacher,” and who of us is the “reluctant teacher.”
Teaching can be an isolating job, and it can be hard to find like-minded teacher besties you want to co-create your courses with. When you find one, though, hold on tight. They are worth their weight in gold!
